June 12 2009 Some technical informations:

I have used 40 kbs and 24 kHz stereo making the wav copy.

If you want to copy these sound files (or: these copies of the original tapes) you can save them on one CD if you make a DATA disk or make a DATA copy.

If you make a sound disk, a "CD copy" using: Sound copy, you will need 2 CD's.
2 for wav and 2 CD's for mp3 making a sound disk. some programs would even ask you to use 36 CD's for the vaw copy, and you will probably end up with standard sound CD for use in an old standard CD player.
I can't tell you, what would be the best for you.
I have been satisfied with all on one CD, it has been cheap for me to mail a copy all over the world. By placing 2 CD's side by side in the center of an A4 paper (21 cm x 29,7 cm), then folding the 2 long (29.7 cm) sides over the CD's, having a half-selfmade envelop (12 cm x 29,7 cm). You will finish the envelop by folding the 2 CD's together, now protected inside the paper, and the envelop has a size of 12 cm x 15 cm, and a weight less than 50 gram, and before mailing it, you only need to tape it with standard tape, and put on a stamp between 1 and 2 $ from Denmark it's 1½ $. (I have mailed a 1000 Cd's all for free, this way since March 21 2003)

The technical explanation is:

By using 40 kbs in stead of 120 kbs my sound-informations to burn on a disk are small.
By using 24 kHz in stead of 48 kHz I have cut out all the sound we can't hear, - I have even tried to go down to something between 8-12 kHz, as a maximum, because the human voice is low in frequency, but I was not satisfied with that result.
